Lots of ice at the Lake but it varies depending on the route. Fresh ice has been forming over thick old rotten ice and seems well bonded in most areas, however, this time of year - use caution when the sun is out and the temps climb into the upper 20's. Because of more intense sun this time of year, by afternoon, ice can drop without warning. Arrive early and leave early, is the best motto for climbing here in late March.
Float Like a Butterfly, Glass Menagerie, and Extensive Homology look pretty decent. Tablets are in but have been snow covered on the easiest lines. Last Gentleman amphitheater looks to have good climbing, but again, use caution. Mindbender and Plug N' Chug aren't formed very well yet and Renormalization looks to have mostly leftover old ice. Have fun and be safe!

I was up there on Saturday 3/17 and did a bit of climbing. Things looked a lot better than they climbed.

Last Gent and The Prom have good and bad sections. The lower half of each wasn't looking that great so we stayed away.

The real fun up there is the waist deep powder!

Yeah John, It's pretty toasted now. No-one should bother driving over to check it out or climb. There is ice there on the tablets and elsewhere but I personally don't think any of it is worth it. A small wet slab avalanche has reached the road on the north end as well.

That all looks about 10000000% better than it did on Saturday. Go to the Daks, or Smuggs.

Glass Menagerie was still good on Sunday morning (March 25). But I guess it won't last much longer.

Speaking of smuggs, I was there yesterday. Driving force area is good, ent was good. BIB looked good, maybe blind fate but personally I would stay away from that, I saw norton gibney column collapse in similar conditions last year. Grand confusion fat. South wall looks poised to crash down. Of course this may all be pointless beta by the weekend.
