Quick walk in the Notch from the Jeffersonville side this morning. Roadside mystery ice still forming, very wet, promising. From the road the workout wall has started to come in but probably needs a bit more time before it's ready for heavy traffic. Thirdhand report that Jeff Slide was done last week and was snow on rock for the moderate angle center. Looks better now. Walked up into Easy. Grand Confusion was being climbed, heard good report on it's conditions. Poster Child is looking good. Grand Illusion looks good from the bottom of Easy Gully. Playground pillar (across the road) is in but has an obvious horizontal gap at the bottom of the main pillar. Didn't walk farther uphill but things are coming along nicely. I suspect that EHG and ENT are in, and Hidden is probably in early season conditions. Not too bad slogging and the road is skiable. PC050014.jpg PC050012.jpg PC050015.jpg IMG_4600.jpg

Looks good! Like maybe even "Scream Queen", M5, is in.

Grand Confusion and Grand Illusion were well-protectable the whole way. Poster Child has ice almost all the way down on the right side and good ice on the first mixed pitch and traverse. Dominatrix has ice coming most of the way down including the entry ramp complete with significant mushrooming up higher. Black Sunshine is also looking large.
