shoestring 11/29

    We climbed a VERY dry shoestring gully today. There were a few "ribbons" of "ice" but nothing you could take a real swing at or put a screw into. We soloed the route out the regular ice exit... though it did seem as though there might have been a little more ice on the rock finish. It was a fun day but not really ice climbing!
    Here is a photo of my partner on one of the drips. He may post a link to some photos that show the overall poor conditions encountered.

    Dude, I went right up some thin stuff four feet left of him on Wednesday. The rest will come down on Tuesday night. Wait till next week or the week after I guess.
