Took our chances Sunday with the rain and headed up to Grafton to make a few laps of the Amphitheater. We were fortunate the weather stayed slightly below freezing, however we were soaked by a low hanging fog and occasional mist/rain. We were a bit underwhelmed by the amount of ice in the Amphitheater. The only two climbs we were able to get on were the right most easy lead and the 2nd from far left vertical section on top rope. With the warm weather there was significant ice fall out of both the left-most route and the discontinuous center chandelier. West Slabs had plenty of ice and may have presented more options if the weather had been more agreeable. Fun day in all, hopefully more routes will be available for the upcoming Christmas weekend!
