Could anyone please post an update for the ice conditions at chapel pond and cascade pass following the warm weather of the past 24 hours?

I was up there yesterday, 01/05 and found good ice in both places. It was a bit brittle due to the warm temps the day before followed by a quick freeze, but still manageable.

Chapel Pond has the usual moderates to offer but the harder lines look like they need a bit more time before they're truly in.
Cascade Pass in actually in really good shape. Sisters, Three Flows, and all the easier roadside runnels are all in.

Also, for anyone wondering- We hiked in to check on Haggis and found not a speck of ice on the route. Dry as a bone. A true bummer.

Thank you Stephen! Appreciate the report on Haggis.

Midnight Cruiser is in and close to Haggis. That may be a good plan B.
  4. I will only be in town for one day during the icefest, and was looking for an easy topropeable place. Any input for MLK weekend?
